Advent 2020

Pope Francis Quote: Advent

Schools, families and parishes in the Leeds Diocese are invited to share their Advent and Christmas preparations via Twitter this year using the #preparetheway hashtag.
We would love to see how our children and families are preparing and remembering the true meaning of Christmas! Remember to tag us in too @stpatselland !

Thank you

Overgate Hospice Reindeer Run
Friday 11th December 2020

What's on in school?

Things are a little different in school this year, however, children will continue to learn about and prepare for the coming of Jesus at Christmas.

Keep checking back to stay updated with events in school.

1st Week of Advent (Sunday 29th November 2020)

Class Rievaulx will be making our Advent Wreaths again this year. Each class will receive a handmade wreath which children will discuss, learn about and light their first candle this week.

2nd Week of Advent (Sunday 6th November)

On Friday 11th December all children are invited to join in a fundraising day for our local hospice - Overgate.

Children are invited to wear their Christmas jumpers for the day with a suggested donation of £1 per family.
Also on this day, children will participate in the annual 'Reindeer Run'. Sponsorship forms and monies were sent out in November and should be brought back today, please.

3rd Week of Advent (Sunday 13th December)

Our annual Nativity has changed and children in school will be preparing and producing something special to remind us all of the true meaning of Christmas.

Each class will have a special party this week to celebrate this most wonderful time of year. Classes will also create crafts and well wishes for the Christmas season to take home.

4th Week of Advent (Sunday 20th December)

School is closed this week, however, resources will be shared on Seesaw to support families to prepare at home.
