Support and develop a first-class school-based catering service.
To be responsible for the cleanliness of the kitchen preparation area and serving area and support all relevant legislation around school meals.
Design excellent nutritional menus.
Ensure effective and efficient planning and delivery of all aspects of food preparation and cooking, taking account of dietary and nutritional requirements within the school.
Actively be involved in the preparation, cooking and serving of food and beverages as well as supervising the work of catering support staff and ensuring operational standards comply with the guidelines and statutory regulations.
Ensure that stock ordering and rotation is organised in an efficient and cost-effective manner.
Responsible for the proper use and maintenance of catering equipment, and for ensuring the effective storage and rotation of stock and equipment.
To relate to colleagues, pupils and visitors in a positive and appropriate manner.
