Homework

The majority of homework will be based around reading and essential knowledge and skills aquisition for all pupils.
Teachers will set relevant tasks pertinent to the needs and education of children. We also recognise the value of quality family time and other activities that children may participate in outside of school hours.

Reading

Every child, regardless of age or reading ability, should read at home every day. At St Patrick's we believe reading is an essential skill to be mastered and also enjoyed. Children will receive a book matched to their ability to read at home as well as a reading record. Please complete this and return to school.

Times Tables

Times Tables are a 'basic skill' that we feel is essential for all children to master. Children will receive their 'Times Tables Rockstars' creditials to log in and practice at home as well as other resources. We encourage families to practice at home and teachers will provide guidance around which times tables are being covered in class via their termly newsletters.

Other Homework

Teachers may set other incidental homework tasks to support children with their learning.
