St Patrick's Geography
At St Patrick's, Geography teaching follows the National Curriculum.
Our units of work and teaching sequence has been carefully designed to help children to know and remember more and the curriculum inspires wonder in children to learn more about about our world. Teaching methods are varied to suit the concepts and draw on ideas from the children where possible. Children are encouraged to record their ideas and findings in a variety of ways.
Geographical Skills and Fieldwork are essential, these skills are embedded throughout our units of learning so that in addition to the core knowledge and vocabulary, children develop skills of observation,measurement, recording, map reading and direction.
