Sacrament of Reconciliation (First Confession)

Children from the Halifax Deanery celebrated the Sacrament of Reconciliation and made their First Confessions on Saturday 25th March 2023 at St Bernard's Church, Halifax.

Children can make their first confession in Year 3 or above.

Sacramental Preparation Sessions for 2024 will take place across the deanery from January 2024 - further information can be found in the letter below.

Children will receive the sacrament during the school day on 14th March 2024.

Sacrament of First Holy Communion

Sacramental Preparation Sessions for 2024 will begin in the Spring of 2024. Information can be found in the letter below.

Children will receive the sacrament at St Patrick's Church in Elland on Sunday 19th May during 10am mass.

Sacrament of Confirmation

Children can be confirmed when they are in Year 6.

Key Dates for 2024: 
Rehearsal: 7pm on 29th February at St Mary's, Halifax
Confirmation: 7pm on 7th March at St Mary's Halifax
