Journeying with Jesus

We are proud to work with all the Catholic schools across our two local authority areas, particularly as the Trust grows and benefits from the expertise and knowledge that other schools joining in the future will bring.

Faith and Community

OUR COMMUNITY

For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.
Matthew 18:20

At St. Patrick's we are a thriving Catholic community of pupils, staff, parents, family members, parishoners and friends of the school.

More information about the Catholic Life of our school can be found in the drop down menu above.

Daily Worship

Children participate in worship every day at St Patrick's.

We celebrate worship together as a whole school, a key stage and in our classes.

We help to lead our worship by selecting readings and gospel stories, sharing these, reflection on the Word of God and sharing missions with our friends.

Catholic Life

We constantly look for ways in which we can live our mission, Journeying with Jesus, at school, at home and in our community.

Please take a look at our Facebook page for some of our recent events and community action.

Singing programme with the Diocese of Leeds

We are proud to be part of the Diocese of Leeds School Singing Programme. Classes Kirkstall and Rievaulx receive weekly singing sessions delivered by an expert Choral Director from the Diocese, focusing on positive engagement with singing and supporting the Catholic life of the school through sacred music. The sessions offer practical and incremental coverage of areas of the music curriculum - including notation - in a two-year curriculum framework developed by the Diocese, the National Schools Singing Programme and the National Youth Choir of Scotland.
As a result of this, our pupils also have the opportunity to join one of the Diocese’s acclaimed after-school choirs, which offer an incredible opportunity to pursue a passion for singing and music. You can find online resources that support this work on the Schools Singing Programme’s YouTube channel (www.schoolssingingprogramme.org.uk). Our local Diocese choir is Huddersfield Boys and Girls Choirs - please contact office@dioceseofleedsmusic.org.uk for more information about joining.
